Why Choose Honey Labels

Custom Honey Labels help beekeepers and honey brands package jars and bottles with labels designed for real honey packaging environments. Whether your containers are exposed to sticky drips, refrigeration, or frequent handling at markets and in retail, you can choose materials built for how your honey is filled, stored, and sold.

Ideal For

  • Honey jars and glass containers – Labels designed to hold securely on glass jars, even with honey drips and frequent handling.

  • Squeeze bottles and honey bear containers – Durable labels that flex with plastic packaging and stay applied during shipping, storage, and everyday use.

  • Farmers market and local honey brands – Professional labels that help small-batch honey stand out at farmers markets, farm stores, and retail shelves.

  • Raw, organic, and specialty honey varieties – Labels that highlight floral sources like clover, wildflower, or lavender while keeping packaging clean and readable.

  • Small-batch honey producers – Low minimums make it easy to label seasonal harvests, limited runs, or multiple honey varieties.

Choosing The Right Label Type

  • White BOPP (glossy or matte): Best for honey jars and squeeze bottles exposed to moisture or sticky residue. Durable and resistant to oil, water, and frequent handling.

  • Clear BOPP (glossy or matte): Ideal for glass honey jars where the color of the honey is part of the presentation. Creates a “no-label look” while keeping branding clean and visible.

  • Paper Labels: Great for farmers market honey and small-batch brands looking for a natural or handcrafted appearance on room-temperature products.

  • PET-Backed BOPP Labels: Designed for automated labeling systems. PET liners provide stronger roll tension and smoother dispensing for high-volume honey packaging operations.

Application & Backing Options

All labels are finished on rolls for efficient application.

  • Hand applying: Choose Paper Backing

  • Machine applying: Choose PET Backing (available for Glossy and Matte White BOPP Laminated Labels only)

Frequently Asked Questions

Most honey labels must include the product name “honey”, the net weight, and the producer or distributor name and address. Depending on your location and product, additional information such as a nutrition panel, ingredients, or batch number may also be required.

Labeling regulations can vary by region and product type. StickerGiant is not responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance or for any required information omitted from your label design. We recommend confirming labeling requirements with your local regulatory authority before printing.

For honey jars, we recommend using laminated labels such as White BOPP or Clear BOPP. These labels are durable and will not peel, curl, or fade when exposed to oils or liquids. Remember to always apply them to a clean, dry surface for best adhesion and appearance.

Laminated Labels are water-resistant and suitable for honey jars and bottles, protecting against oils and liquids. However, they should not be submerged in water for extended periods. Avoid using Paper Labels for honey jars or bottles if water exposure is expected.

The right label size depends on your container. For example, a 12 oz glass honey bottle typically works well with a 3.50″ W × 4.00″ H label. For honey jars, measure the flat label area on the container and choose a water-resistant label sized to fit without wrapping over curves or edges.

For best adhesion and durability, make sure the jar surface is clean and dry before applying the label.

Yes. Custom honey labels can include logos, brand colors, floral source details, barcodes, and product information to help your honey stand out on store shelves or at farmers markets.

Yes. Many honey producers highlight the floral source or variety, such as clover honey, wildflower honey, or lavender honey, to help customers understand the flavor and origin.
